Reporting a Pothole or road defect
Potholes and road defects can potentially seriously injure or even cause deaths to those cycling. They can force riders to swerve and put them into the paths of motor traffic with tragic consequences. They can damage by causing punctures, bent wheels or other equipment failures.
Roads and other cycle routes need to be maintained in good condition, but the responsibility can rest in the hands of numerous bodies.
Reporting defects is essential. Even if you have not been affected, others who follow may be, with the potential for disastrous results.
